Hunter Gahl Representing United States in Red Bull Crashed Ice

Kennesaw, Georgia -- Last night, the Red Bull Crashed Ice Championship Qualifiers was at the Town Center Ice Forum. Fans were welcome to watch as skaters from Kennesaw State as well as from around the area competed for a chance to represent the United States in the Red Bull Crashed Ice Championships in Quebec City. In the qualifiers, skaters had to partake in an obstacle course including twists, turns, hurdles and diving all on the ice.

Most of the team, some alumni and various skaters laid it all out on the line to try and win a chance to skate on a downhill obstacle course in Quebec City. One victor received the fastest time in a very tight time trial. Kennesaw's own Hunter Gahl won with 13.06 seconds and will represent the United States with 2 other individuals. Second place went to Ryan Smith and third went to KSU's senior defenseman Andy Buckner.

Come out tonight and support your Owls as they take on #4 Florida Gulf Coast. This is a huge southeast rivalry game and could project the outcome in regionals for the Owls. Games are at 10pm on Friday and Saturday at the Town Center Ice Forum.
