Owls Split Weekend Series With The Flames

Kennesaw, Georgia -- The Owls after their performance in the ACHA Division II Show case were looking to rebound from some tight losses. This weekend they would face the Liberty Flames. In the past, the Owls have traded many losses and wins against both their Division II and Division I team and would continue put their mark on Liberty. Kennesaw won Friday night 7-2, led by the charge of the first line Jerry Holden, Tucker Green and Dylan Morrison. Unfortunately, KSU did use the momentum to get another win and lost 6-3 after maintaining a close game being tied after both the first and second periods.

Kennesaw has suffered some early season injury, such as Blake Czaja, Brett Lester and Curtis Howe, and hope to bounce back on their road trip against Kentucky. The Owls will be facing the University of Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington on Halloween weekend, both games at midnight at the Lexington Ice Center. There are no scheduled games next weekend as originally planned.

The Owls will be returning home on November 5th and 6th to face Central Florida and Tennessee. The team would like to thank the support of fans and sponsors for these opening games. The attendance is off to a record breaking year, so come back out in November and cheer on your Owls.
