Kennesaw, GA -- Big weekend for the KSU OWLs taking two games from the East Carolina University Pirates. KSU took the first game 5 -1 on Halloween Night with a strong performance on the penalty killing special teams and the Barry brothers(Jimmy and Mark). Game two on Sat proved to be another night for special teams as the KSU power play scored 7 times to lead the OWLs to a 11-0 victory.
Starting goalie Ben Powers received the shut out and power forward Chris Koutnik scored the 3 goal hat trick. Team captain Dylan Morrison had a 4 point night leading goal scorer Jerry Holden netted 2.
TheOWL's hit the road next weekend when they travel to NY to play William Patterson, Wagner, Siena and Texas Tech.
This will be a great warm up for the Nov 14 and 15th Kentucky games. This will be the first time the Kentucky Wild cats have visited KSU and the games are expected to sell out. Fans are being asked to get to the game early ..Start time 10:10 PM.
