Oxford, OH -- The Owls took to the road and traveled north to Oxford to face Miami of Ohio. Kennesaw competed with Miami and played much of the game on the penalty kill. Miami of Ohio tied KSU late in the third period to preserve a 5-5 overtime tie. Forward Jerry Holden led the goal column with 2 and Defenseman Curtis Morrison, Defenseman Drew Baker and Forward Chris Koutnick all had 1 goal. KSU played the last 12 minutes of the game shorthanded and allowed the tying goal with two men down. Kennesaw will face them again tomorrow night.
In other news, the ACHA Division 2 rankings have been posted. Kennesaw jumped two spots to 6th after some big wins against William Paterson University and Florida Gulf Coast.
