Owls Enter Regionals Against Indiana

Washington, D.C. -- After a day of travel, the Owls rested in DC to fight in their first regional playoff appearance in ACHA Division II. The game was projected to start on time at 5pm, however a hard fought overtimes with William Paterson and UMBC pushed two games back.

At the end of the first period, the Owls tied 1-1 against Indiana University. Kennesaw out shot IU 10 to 8 and killed 2 penalties. KSU's Forward Jerry Holden was the first to put a goal on the board. The teams ended up trading goals at the end of two. The third period was held tight. Indiana scored and held a lead with 20 seconds left. Defenseman Curtis Morrison took a slapshot from the point tying the game. Unfortunately, the Owls fell short in overtime losing 4-3.

Kennesaw has one more game in DC around 6pm. The new matchups have not been announced and are delayed until tomorrow.
