Town Center -- After a rough loss at home last night, Kennesaw came to play their second game against William Paterson. A better crowd turned out for the Friday night game, and the Owls were out to get their first win in the new year. KSU proved tonight though that they could compete against higher ranked teams. The Owls scored the first goal only to be matched on a powerplay goal. The game was tight all the way to the end. Some big hits, fast passes and some big goals favored Kennesaw giving a one goal edge in the 3rd period. However, the Pioneers kept the fans on their feet with a pulled goalie with the final minute remaining. William Paterson would not score and the Owls take their first win this year, 4-3.
Kennesaw will come back to Town Center tomorrow night at 10pm to face southern rivals, University of Tennessee. The first 100 fans will receive a shirt courtesy of Pinnacle Orthopedics. Also, those who choose to come early to the Ice Forum Public Skate Session prior to the game will receive free admission to the game. So come out and see this southern rivalry.
