A Berry Good Start in Florida

Rockledge, FL -- The Owls began their first road trip of the new year on a strong note, defeating the University of Central Florida Knights. Kennesaw has a strong history with UCF and proved it again with a 5-3 victory. Forward Jimmy Barry led the team with a hat trick on the night. Defenseman Curtis Morrison and Forward Jerry Holden contributed a goal each. Rookie Goalie Ben Powers has had a strong start with the Owls. His first win was against an infamous William Paterson team and now has his second win as an Owl with 20 saves. KSU came out firing controlling much of the play as the Owls out shot UCF 57 to 23. Kennesaw will be traveling to Fort Myers to face Florida Gulf Coast University, the #1 ranked team in the southeast. The games are both Friday and Saturday at 8:30pm in Germain Arena.
