Town Center -- The Owls returned to Town Center to face their second game against Florida Gulf Coast. They tied 5-5 on Thursday at Philips Arena. The fans came out to support the Owls all dressed in black. However, the game this time was not in favor for Kennesaw.
KSU took the early lead again scoring a goal in the first period. FGCU would bounce back with 3 unanswered goals. The Owls would only score one more in the second. Even with a high pressed game from KSU, FGCU would gain the puck and score two more in the third. FGCU would be the first team in more than 2 seasons to defeat the Owls at home. The final score was 5-2.
The FGCU game is the final game for this semester. The Owls will return January 10 for a 3-game weekend. On Thursday and Friday, Kennesaw will face William-Paterson University. There is NO Philips Game as previously scheduled. Then on Saturday, they will face Tennessee. That Saturday is spirit night, so the person with the best costume in yellow and black will receive a MP3 Player courtesy of your fighting Owls.
