Town Center -- After last week's win against Life University, Kennesaw continued their home games against Middle Tennessee State. Last year the Owls beat MTSU twice, once away and once during homecoming. Tonight would extend their winning streak before the headed to Tennessee to face the Volunteers.
The Owls would be the first to score in the first period on a powerplay goal. However, Middle Tennessee would tie it up toward the end of first period. Veteran Goalie Steve Hartley held the score for the Owls and would be later swapped with Rookie Goalie Mike Porter who would keep the opposing goal count to one. Kennesaw took the momentum of each goal to score another and capitalized on solid passing in front of the net. The Owls finished the game 12 to 1.
Kennesaw is traveling north of the border to Tennessee on Saturday to face the regional rivals the Volunteers. Then the Owls will return home to face two divisional teams. First on Friday, they will take on Duke University at 10pm and then come out on Saturday to face North Carolina State.
