Owls Double Up Against Liberty

Town Center -- As the Owls continue their hockey weekend, they faced again Liberty University. Last night, Kennesaw took a short 4-2 win to extend their winning streak to eight. Tonight, they would stretch that streak one more game.

Leading the goal column was Forward Ricky Lirette having the first goal of the game that would be a part of his hat trick on the night. Also scoring was Forward Chris Koutnik with two goals, Forward Dylan Morrison with a goal and 3 assists, Forward Sean Devine with a goal, and Forward Jerry Holden with a goal from Goalie Steve Hartley. Hartley held Liberty to only score one goal in the second, otherwise had two shutout periods.

The team will be off for the Thanksgiving Break and will return Thursday, November 29 at Philips Arena to face Florida Gulf Coast. FGCU has been a southern rival in Division III and has migrated into Division II. This weekend matchup is against the #1 ranked team for the region. You can purchase tickets now for that game since the game will be hosted after the Atlanta Thrashers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs game, which starts at 7pm. Fans will receive two great hockey games for the price of one.
