Newly appointed Team Captain Jerry Holden took charge of a physical game with 5 points on the night, 3 classic breakaways and 2 assists. Despite a late start, the Owls came out firing in front of a dedicated packed house. Unfortunately, Duke scored on a few powerplay goals. However, Goalie Steve Hartley answered and received his first assist of the year with a breakaway setup to Defensemen Curtis Morrison, who had 2 goals on the night. Also, Rookie Justin Blais and Returning Forward Jimmy Barry had goals as well.
The Owls season is now at 9 wins and 6 losses and come back to play on Saturday night at 10pm at Town Center against North Carolina State. This night is the Georgia High School Hockey Night so the youngsters are welcome to come out and support the Owls. Also, Georgia Legislator Mark Burkhalter is to be the special guest and is to drop the first puck.
