Knoxville, Tennessee -- The Owls traveled north of the border to face the Tennessee Volunteers. Kennesaw has had a regional rivaled history with the Vols. Kennesaw would dominate tonight to extend their six game winning streak.
Veteran Defenseman Curtis Morrison led the team with two goals in the first two periods assisted by Returning Forward Dylan Morrison, Chris Koutnik and Jerry Holden. Veteran Goalie Steve Hartley held UT to two goals at the end of the second and shut out the third. Rookie Forward Jordan Crews sealed the game with a goal from Defenseman Brett Lester. The Owls dominated play with shot count 50 to 16.
The Owls return to Town Center on Friday to face Duke University. The night will feature a raffle so bring some extra cash to win some nice prizes. Kennesaw will then face North Carolina State on Saturday night, which is the Georgia High School Hockey Night so the youngsters are welcome. These Division 2 matches will begin at 10pm.
